“Accentuate the Positive,” Barbara’s second cabaret production, amplifies the importance of optimism. Not only is the show a happy experience due to some great standards by the Beatles, Irving Berlin, Marvin Hamlisch, and others, but audience members can learn ways to increase their optimism, no matter how they are wired!

This production is one of six shows on the character strengths as identified in Character Strengths and Virtues, by Christopher Peterson and Martin Seligman. The other five strengths are: wisdom and knowledge, courage, humanity, justice, and temperance. These inspiring shows are meant to encourage a greater understanding of and participation in these timeless virtues. Barbara is available to give this performance upon request. Contact.

Everybody Loves Somebody

Dean Martin was one of America's favorite entertainers. He recorded hundreds of songs and sold millions of records, including “Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime,” “That´s Amore, “Mambo Italiano,” and “Memories are Made of This.” His carefree, uncomplicated style reflects an authenticity and charm inherent in the melodies and lyrics of the songs he sang. Because of this we are reminded of the pure way love can be experienced.

Barbara Jones presents a one-woman cabaret performance, singing the songs made famous by Dean Martin. She's accompanied by Dan Lizdas on the keyboard. Barbara is available to give these performances upon request. Contact.
