Barbara Jones has known since she was seven years old that her calling was that of a teacher and "Spiritual Mother." In order to better fulfill that role, she obtained a B.S. in Food Science and Nutrition, a Masters degree in Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology. She has also worked extensively with spiritual teachers, attended modeling and acting schools, and studied piano, voice and dance. Barbara currently works as a self-actualization coach, has led workshops in creativity, meditation, and sand play, and taught classes on developing personal style. She is also a cabaret performer.

As a Nepalese Youth Foundation volunteer, Barbara helped start the Ankur Center, the first child guidance clinic in Kathmandu, Nepal, where she teaches and trains on a regular basis.

Barbara is a teacher and trainer of bulyying prevention in the Taos Public Schools as well as Taos Pueblo. She also has a bi-weekly radio program (KXMT in Taos, 99.1) in which she teaches parenting skills to her listening audience.

Happily married, Barbara lives and works in Taos, New Mexico. She is god-mother to two teenage boys, caretaker of three dogs and two horses, and sponsors the education of seven young people in Nepal.
